June 5, 2026: Climb Bio, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLYM) reported translational pharmacometric modeling and initial Phase 1 safety data for CLYM116, an anti-APRIL monoclonal antibody being developed for IgA nephropathy (IgAN). The company said preliminary Phase 1 data in healthy volunteers showed CLYM116 was generally well tolerated with no unexpected safety findings; in a single-dose cohort up to 320 mg (n=49), there were no serious adverse events, dose-limiting toxicities, or discontinuations, and adverse events were mild to moderate (Grade 1–2). Two Grade 1 injection-site reactions resolved without intervention.

These results were presented as an oral session at the European Renal Association (ERA) Congress 2026 (June 3–6, 2026; Glasgow). Modeling based on pooled non-human primate data projected dose-dependent IgA suppression and suggested potential for less-frequent dosing than first-generation anti-APRIL approaches; the company also cited a literature analysis showing correlation in IgA reduction between NHP and healthy volunteer studies.

Upcoming catalysts: Climb plans to share initial PK/PD and updated safety data from ongoing Phase 1 studies at an R&D Spotlight event in late summer 2026; partner Beijing Mabworks Biotech expects to initiate dosing in IgAN patients in the Phase 2 portion of its study in Q3 2026. Climb retains global rights outside Greater China.
