April 30, 2026 — Novocure Ltd. (NASDAQ: NVCR) reported Q1 2026 results (quarter ended March 31, 2026) and provided business and clinical updates for its Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) products Optune Gio, Optune Lua and newly launched Optune Pax.
Net revenue was $174.1M (+12% YoY), driven mainly by European active-patient growth; key country revenues were U.S. $96.0M, Germany $24.5M (including a $2.5M one-time benefit), France $22.9M (including a $1.0M one-time benefit), and Japan $10.2M. Gross margin rose to 78% (from 75%) due to lower array costs. Net loss was $71.1M (loss/share $0.62); adjusted EBITDA was $(0.3)M; cash and short-term investments were $432.0M.
Operationally, Novocure had 4,791 active TTFields patients globally. Optune Pax (locally advanced pancreatic cancer) received U.S. FDA approval and launched; 169 prescriptions were received in Q1 and 83 patients were active as of quarter-end, with >800 prescribers certified and >160 prescriptions received through March 31.
Clinical update: Phase 2 PANOVA-4 in metastatic pancreatic cancer met its primary endpoint with 74% disease control rate vs 48% historical control (gemcitabine + nab-paclitaxel).
Novocure raised 2026 revenue guidance to $690M–$710M and improved adjusted EBITDA guidance to $(15)M–$0, citing contributions from Optune Lua and Optune Pax ($15M–$25M combined). Anticipated milestones include Phase 3 TRIDENT topline data (Q2 2026) and an FDA decision on TTFields for brain metastases from NSCLC (Q4 2026).
