November 5, 2026: Altimmune, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALT) said a late-breaking oral presentation on pemvidutide from the Phase 2 RECLAIM trial in moderate-to-severe alcohol use disorder will be presented November 9, 2026 at AASLD’s The Liver Meeting 2026. RECLAIM is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled 24-week study comparing once-weekly pemvidutide 2.4 mg vs placebo in about 100 adults with AUD and BMI >25 kg/m2.
The company said July 2026 topline data showed pemvidutide met the primary endpoint, with a statistically significant reduction in heavy drinking days per week versus placebo, and also met FDA-recognized registrational secondary endpoints including reduction in WHO Risk Drinking Levels and zero heavy drinking days, with generally favorable tolerability. The conference presentation is titled “Efficacy and Safety of Pemvidutide in the Treatment of Adults with Alcohol Use Disorder: Results from RECLAIM” and will be delivered by Henry R. Kranzler, M.D.
Upcoming catalyst: Altimmune said it is scheduled to hold an FDA End-of-Phase 2 meeting in December 2026 to discuss a Phase 3 registrational program for pemvidutide in AUD.
Other pemvidutide program updates mentioned: IMPACT Phase 2b 48-week topline data in MASH were announced in December 2025; the PERFORMA Phase 3 MASH trial was initiated in July 2026; enrollment in the RESTORE Phase 2 ALD trial was completed in August 2026.
