November 3, 2026: Decoy Therapeutics (NASDAQ: DCOY) reported a 3Q 2026 business update centered on its lead pan-coronavirus program. The company said it expects to file a CTA or IND in 2H 2027 to start a Phase 1 trial. In preclinical studies, an optimized lead candidate showed potential for once-weekly dosing, versus daily dosing for earlier candidates. Decoy is evaluating manufacturing sites and discussing pulmonary delivery systems to support clinical development.

The pan-coronavirus program is intended for high-risk populations, including patients with COPD, immunocompromised patients, and transplant recipients. The company said there are no approved therapies for endemic human coronaviruses. It plans to follow Phase 1 with a Phase 2a human challenge trial at hVivo in the UK. The program is partially funded by the Gates Foundation.

Separately, Decoy said it is exploring a pan-filovirus program targeting Ebola, Marburg, and related viruses, and is pursuing non-dilutive funding and strategic collaborations across its programs. Seclidemstat, an investigational LSD1 inhibitor from its legacy oncology portfolio, is available for license or sale.

Cash on hand was $8.1 million as of September 30, 2026, including about $2.5 million in restricted Gates Foundation grant funding.
