November 8-11, 2026: Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ: GILD) said it will present more than 50 HIV studies at HIV Glasgow 2026, spanning prevention, treatment, pipeline, and cure research.
Prevention: PURPOSE 5 will report one-year persistence and safety data for twice-yearly lenacapavir (Yeytuo) versus daily Truvada for PrEP in people in the UK and France who had not previously used existing HIV prevention options; key abstracts indicate higher persistence on lenacapavir versus daily F/TDF.
Treatment: BICSTaR will provide real-world outcomes on Biktarvy in treatment-naïve and treatment-experienced people with HIV, including those with substantial comorbidities. Phase 3 ARTISTRY data will cover bictegravir/lenacapavir (BIC/LEN), including ARTISTRY-2 in virologically suppressed patients with preexisting resistance-associated mutations and pooled analyses of viremic events. Gilead notes BIC/LEN received U.S. FDA approval in August 2026 under the brand Bixlenvo.
Pipeline: Phase 3 ISLEND-1 and ISLEND-2 data will assess once-weekly oral islatravir/lenacapavir, including Week 48 efficacy, safety, treatment preference, and patient-reported outcomes. Phase 1b GS-3242 data will be presented; GS-3242 is being studied with lenacapavir as a potential twice-yearly injectable regimen, and Gilead says it received FDA Fast Track designation in October 2026.
Cure research: Phase 1b immunogenicity and safety data will be presented for amtabafusp alfa (GS-8588), a bispecific T-cell engager.
