November 2, 2026: Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ARWR) said it will present multiple lipid-program updates at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in Chicago on Saturday, November 7.
ARO-DIMER-PA: Late-breaking Featured Science Session FS.05 will include detailed Phase 1/2a first-in-human results for ARO-DIMER-PA, described as the first dual-functional RNAi therapeutic designed to silence both PCSK9 and APOC3 in mixed hyperlipidemia. The ongoing placebo-controlled dose-escalation study (NCT07223658) is evaluating safety, tolerability, PK/PD, and effects on LDL-C and triglycerides.
Plozasiran in severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG): The same late-breaking session will include a pooled SHASTA-3/4 Phase 3 analysis on triglyceride lowering and acute pancreatitis risk reduction in sHTG. SHASTA-3 and SHASTA-4 are placebo-controlled Phase 3 trials enrolling about 750 adults; the primary endpoint is percent change in fasting triglycerides from baseline to month 12 versus placebo.
Plozasiran in familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS): Moderated posters will present 3-year efficacy/safety data from PALISADE plus its open-label extension, and an analysis of GLP-1 receptor agonist use on triglyceride reduction with plozasiran.
Regulatory: Arrowhead said plozasiran received FDA Breakthrough Therapy designation for sHTG in December 2025 and entered the FDA STAR pilot in October 2026 for an upcoming sNDA; it is not yet approved for sHTG.
