October 30, 2026: Eos SENOLYTIX reported interim preclinical data for PTC-2105, a once-weekly SC MitoXcel geropeptide, from an ongoing 32-week aged-rat study at Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s BIO-VITAL facility, supporting IND-enabling development ahead of planned first-in-human trials in 2027, subject to IND clearance. In the oldest male rats (about 24-26 months at enrollment), Week 16 rotarod latency stayed near baseline with PTC-2105 0.5 mg/kg versus an approximately 76% decline with vehicle (difference 78.4 percentage points; p=0.012; n=3 vs. 4); rotarod distance also favored treatment (difference 90.3 points; p=0.008). Grip strength increased 30.7% versus 7.3% for vehicle, but was not statistically significant (p=0.396). At Week 8 in the two oldest cohorts, fat mass fell 14.5% with 12.5 mg/kg versus 8.2% with vehicle (difference 6.3 points; p=0.018; n=8/group); the 0.5 mg/kg arm showed an 18.2% decrease (p=0.064; n=7). The company said PTC-2105 has been well tolerated so far, with no adverse safety signals observed; non-GLP dose-range-finding toxicology studies in rats and dogs have begun before GLP tox. Eos plans a randomized Phase 1b in adults aged 60+ with sarcopenia in 2027. Separately, Pulmatrix (NASDAQ: PULM) stockholders approved the proposed merger on October 26, 2026; closing is expected shortly in 4Q26, with the combined company expected to trade as MTXL.
