October 29, 2026: Novo Nordisk announced 26 abstracts for ObesityWeek 2026 (November 14–17, Washington, D.C.) covering CagriSema, Wegovy, and investigational semaglutide in children.
CagriSema: Novo will present primary results from REDEFINE 9 testing lower-dose CagriSema (1.7 mg/1.7 mg and 1.0 mg/1.0 mg) in adults with overweight or obesity, plus post-hoc REDEFINE 1 analyses on weight-loss trajectories, baseline BMI/obesity-related complications, and changes in physical, psychosocial, and weight-related quality of life. CagriSema remains investigational and is not approved.
Wegovy/oral semaglutide: Real-world and preference analyses include OPTIC age-stratified obesity medication preference data in adults 65 and older versus younger adults; OCTANE telehealth analyses of adults initiating oral semaglutide, including treatment-naive patients, with 3-month weight outcomes, food noise, and patient-reported outcomes; SIGNAL analysis of food noise (RAID-FN scale) and weight through 6 months in treatment-naive adults starting Wegovy injection via telehealth; and SWEEP data on self-reported weight outcomes and patient experience in Novo’s digital support program for people starting Wegovy pill. Additional abstracts include real-world semaglutide dose-outcome analyses and a short-term cost-of-control comparison versus orforglipron.
STEP Young: Full results of once-weekly investigational semaglutide injection plus diet/exercise in children aged 6 to under 12 with obesity will be presented November 16.
