ACU193 - (ALTITUDE-AD)

October 26, 2026: Acumen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABOS) said it expects topline results in November 2026 from ALTITUDE-AD, a Phase 2 trial of sabirnetug (ACU193) in early Alzheimer’s disease. The 3-arm, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study enrolled 542 participants and is testing 35 mg/kg and 50 mg/kg IV every 4 weeks versus placebo over 18 months. Planned topline disclosure includes the primary endpoint iADRS, key secondary endpoints including CDR-SB, safety measures including adverse event and ARIA rates, and biomarkers.

Also for Alzheimer’s disease, Acumen said it is targeting a mid-2027 IND submission for a lead clinical candidate in its Enhanced Brain Delivery (EBD) program.

Financially, the company reported cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of $78.6 million as of September 30, 2026, which it expects will fund current clinical and operational activities into early 2027. Q3 2026 R&D expense was $21.1 million versus $22.0 million a year earlier, with lower ALTITUDE-AD manufacturing/materials and CRO costs partly offset by higher EBD spending. Net loss for Q3 2026 was $25.4 million.
