October 14, 2026: BioVie Inc. (NASDAQ: BIVI) said two abstracts on bezisterim (NE3107) were accepted for poster presentation at ANA2026 in San Diego (October 17-20, 2026). ADDRESS-LC, a Phase 2 double-blind, placebo-controlled Long COVID study, will be presented October 18, 2026; SUNRISE-PD, a Phase 2 hybrid-design trial in early Parkinson’s disease, will be presented October 19, 2026.
For Parkinson’s disease, BioVie said SUNRISE-PD enrolled 57 previously untreated early-stage patients. Topline results showed improvements in blood-based inflammation markers and other biomarkers tied to cellular health and neuronal integrity, and greater improvement versus placebo across measures of daily functioning, motor symptoms, and non-motor symptoms.
For Long COVID, ADDRESS-LC enrolled about 200 patients to assess effects on brain fog, fatigue, and other chronic neurological symptoms. The company said the Phase 2 trial did not achieve statistical significance on any endpoint in the overall intent-to-treat population; statistically significant findings were limited to prespecified subgroup analyses.
BioVie also said it plans a Phase 3 trial of BIV201 in cirrhosis and ascites; BIV201 has FDA Orphan and Fast Track designations.
