MAR002

October 5, 2026: Marea Therapeutics, a subsidiary of Lisata Therapeutics (NASDAQ: LSTA), announced first-patient dosed in a Phase 2 trial of MAR002 for acromegaly. MAR002 is an investigational allosteric monoclonal antibody growth hormone receptor antagonist.

The Phase 2 study plans to enroll about 72 patients across three MAR002 dose arms, each after an initial 900 mg loading dose, versus placebo. The primary endpoint is reduction in IGF-1 after 10 weeks of treatment. Eligible patients may enter an open-label extension after the treatment period.

The company said the trial follows Phase 1 data presented at ENDO in June 2026, which showed deep and durable IGF-1 suppression and pharmacokinetic properties that may support dosing as infrequently as once every two weeks, compared with daily subcutaneous injections for the current standard of care.

Also noted: MAR001 is the lead product candidate and is in Phase 2b development for severe hypertriglyceridemia.
