Oct. 6, 2026: Jupiter Neurosciences (NASDAQ: JUNS) announced the first patient was dosed in the Phase 2a RESET trial (NCT07592767) of JOTROL, its micellar trans-resveratrol formulation, in Parkinson’s disease. The multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, sponsored by Georgetown University, is expected to enroll about 30 patients randomized 1:1:1 to two JOTROL dose levels or placebo for 12 weeks.
The Phase 2a trial’s primary objectives are safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics, including plasma and cerebrospinal fluid exposure; secondary/exploratory measures include biomarkers tied to energy metabolism, inflammation, and Parkinson’s disease, plus clinical outcome measures.
The company said prior Phase 1 data in healthy volunteers showed increased systemic exposure to resveratrol, measurable cerebrospinal fluid concentrations, and no serious adverse events; preclinical Parkinson’s disease models showed neuroprotective effects and motor improvements.
Separately, Jupiter said it has engaged Tungsten Advisors to explore strategic options to monetize its clinical development programs, including asset sales or licensing, partnerships, business combinations, or other transactions. The company said it does not intend to update the process unless a specific transaction is approved or disclosure is otherwise required.
