December 11, 2025: Aligos Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ALGS) reported positive data from four HEP-DART 2025 presentations covering HBV, HDV, obesity, and MASH programs.
Pevifoscorvir sodium (chronic HBV): an invited oral presentation reported complete 96-week and post-treatment follow-up data from the Phase 1 monotherapy study (NCT04536337) in treatment-naïve or currently-not-treated chronic HBV subjects receiving 300 mg. Aligos said the data showed rapid, profound, and durable antiviral effects and support the program’s potential for chronic suppression.
ALG-055009 (obesity/MASH): oral and poster presentations showed new in vivo data in diet-induced obese mice. Semaglutide alone produced a maximum 23.9 ± 2.6% body weight loss; semaglutide plus ALG-055009 achieved 33%, an added 8.6% decrease. Low- and high-dose tirzepatide alone produced 27.1 ± 2.7% and 34.4 ± 1.6% loss; adding ALG-055009 increased maximum loss to 39% and 40%, with additional decreases of 11.7% and 5.8%. The added loss was mainly fat mass, with no significant effect on lean mass or food consumption.
Early-stage programs: posters also covered selection of a potential HBV antisense oligonucleotide and an antisense strategy targeting HDV. Presentations took place December 9-10, 2025 at HEP-DART in Honolulu.
