GR-MD-02 (belapectin) - (NAVIGATE)

October 6, 2026: Galectin Therapeutics (NASDAQ: GALT) said it will present three belapectin analyses at AASLD Liver Meeting 2026 (November 5-9, Denver) and has submitted a registrational Phase 3 protocol to the FDA for belapectin in prevention of disease progression in patients with MASH cirrhosis and portal hypertension.

AASLD presentations focus on noninvasive risk prediction and portal hypertension in Phase 2b datasets:

• Oral presentation (Nov. 8): ANTICIPATE-NASH risk stratification predicting variceal development in compensated MASH cirrhosis from the NAVIGATE trial.
• Poster of Distinction (Nov. 7): baseline Baveno portal hypertension and ELF risk stratification predicting variceal development in compensated MASH cirrhosis from NAVIGATE.
• Poster (Nov. 5): correlation of Baveno VII and ANTICIPATE-NASH noninvasive models with HVPG in patients with MASH cirrhosis from a Phase 2b belapectin trial.

The company described the FDA protocol submission as an important step forward for the belapectin program. The release did not report new efficacy or safety outcomes from these analyses.
