September 25, 2026: SELLAS Life Sciences Group (NASDAQ: SLS) reported preclinical data on SLS009 (tambiciclib), a selective CDK9 inhibitor, in MYC-amplified pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patient-derived organoid models at the AACR Conference on Pancreatic Cancer (September 25–28, 2026).

In a daraxonrasib-resistant, MYC-amplified PDAC organoid model, SLS009 showed greater single-agent activity than daraxonrasib, with 17.9% apoptosis vs. 2.8% and 14.5% necrosis vs. 2.7%. The SLS009+daraoxonrasib combination further increased cell death to 36.5% apoptosis and 30.6% necrosis.

In a separate MYC-amplified PDAC organoid model, SLS009 combined with the BET inhibitor ZEN3694 showed synergistic activity, with greater apoptosis and necrosis than either agent alone, sustained suppression of MYC RNA, and reduced MYC and MCL-1 protein expression. The company said these effects were seen at a ZEN3694 concentration below reported physiologically achievable exposure levels.

The data support further investigation of CDK9 inhibition to enhance RAS-directed therapy and address MYC-associated resistance in pancreatic cancer.

Upcoming conference catalysts: SELLAS listed three AACR posters for September 27, 2026 (5–7 p.m. PST): A036, B127, and B043.
