September 14, 2026: Phio Pharmaceuticals Corp. (NASDAQ: PHIO) said it has formally completed the Phase 1b study of PH-762 and submitted an FDA meeting request and briefing package to support next-stage development. The package covers the nonclinical program, integrated clinical pharmacology data, details from the completed Phase 1b trial, and the proposed Phase 2b neoadjuvant study in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.

PH-762 is an INTASYL siRNA compound designed to silence PD-1. The Phase 1b trial (NCT06014086) evaluated PH-762 in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and Merkel cell carcinoma. The release says the company is encouraged by the Phase 1b findings, but it does not provide efficacy or safety data.

As next steps, Phio is preparing clinical supply manufacturing for the planned Phase 2b study, with supplies expected in Q1 2027. The dosing phase of a nonclinical toxicology study has been completed, and final activities supporting the next phase of clinical development are also expected to be completed in Q1 2027.
