ERNA-201

Sept. 15, 2026: Ernexa Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ERNA) reported positive preliminary preclinical results for ERNA-201, a synthetic allogeneic iMSC therapy engineered to express anti-inflammatory factors. In the collagen-induced arthritis mouse model, several lead candidates reduced disease severity versus untreated controls, including improved clinical arthritis scores, providing preclinical proof-of-concept in rheumatoid arthritis/inflammatory joint disease and supporting the versatility of the company’s synthetic iMSC platform beyond oncology.

Ernexa said it will pause additional preclinical spending on ERNA-201 while preserving the program for possible future development.

ERNA-101: The company is prioritizing its lead oncology candidate, engineered to express an IL-7/IL-15 fusion cytokine, for a first-in-human study in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. Ernexa said ERNA-101 is on track for FDA IND submission in Q4 2026, with clinical data from the PROC study expected in Q4 2027.

The company also said it plans over the next 12–18 months to broaden its oncology pipeline, evaluate additional high-need cancer indications, advance next-generation synthetic iMSC candidates, continue translational/preclinical platform work, and explore strategic collaborations.
