September 2, 2026: SELLAS Life Sciences Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLS) announced that three abstracts on SLS009 (tambiciclib), a selective CDK9 inhibitor, were accepted for poster presentation at the AACR Conference on Pancreatic Cancer: New Frontiers in Biology and Therapeutic Development, to be held September 25–28, 2026 in San Diego.
The posters cover preclinical pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) work conducted with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health across patient-derived organoid models:
- “Elucidating MYC allelic imbalance and therapeutic response in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma via patient-derived organoids” (Poster A036);
- “Synthetic Lethality Through Combined BET and CDK9 Inhibition in MYC-Amplified Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma” (Poster B127);
- “Targeting dual CDK9 and KRASG12D selective inhibition as a novel combination therapy in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma” (Poster B043).
The company said the studies are intended to support the mechanistic and translational rationale for CDK9 inhibition in pancreatic cancer, including potential synthetic lethal combinations with BET- and KRAS-directed approaches and exploitation of MYC-associated vulnerabilities. No efficacy data were disclosed in the release.
