Aug. 31, 2026: TransCode Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNAZ) announced publication in Cancers of a preclinical study on TTX-MC138, its anti-miR-10b candidate, in a breast cancer bone metastasis model. The article was published online Aug. 23, 2026.
In the mouse model, TTX-MC138 accumulated in metastatic bone lesions after systemic administration, significantly reduced miR-10b expression, increased HOXD10 expression, and produced significant survival benefit versus controls. Repeated dosing was reported as well tolerated with no observed systemic toxicity.
The publication supports miR-10b inhibition as a potential strategy for metastatic cancer, specifically breast cancer bone metastases, and suggests possible applicability across additional metastatic settings. The release notes that TransCode’s current clinical development focus for TTX-MC138 is molecular residual disease-positive colorectal cancer.
The company also said TTX-MC138’s Phase 1a first-in-human trial previously achieved its primary safety endpoint and established a recommended Phase 2 dose, as announced at ESMO 2025. The press release references planned regulatory submissions but gives no specific filing date.
