August 26, 2026: Xenon Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: XENE) announced six presentations at the 16th European Epilepsy Congress (September 5-9, 2026, Athens) centered on azetukalner and earlier-stage epilepsy research.

Azetukalner: An oral platform presentation on September 7 will cover topline Phase 3 X-TOLE2 results in adults with focal onset seizures (FOS). Additional posters on September 6 will present mechanistic data showing KV7 binding, enhanced channel opening, and potential additive effects with commonly prescribed antiseizure medications, plus interim ≥48-month open-label extension findings on long-term safety, seizure reduction, seizure freedom, and tolerability in focal epilepsy. X-TOLE2 is described as a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial of adjunctive once-daily azetukalner 25 mg or 15 mg versus placebo in 380 randomized adults with treatment-resistant FOS; 374 were included in safety/mITT analyses, and 322 of 332 double-blind completers entered the extension.

Other data: Xenon will also present a poster on ASM titration burden in clinical practice and a preclinical poster on small molecule XPC-A, reporting selective NaV1.1 potentiation in Dravet mice that suppressed spontaneous seizures, prevented SUDEP, increased long-term potentiation, and normalized gene expression.
