August 25, 2026: RenovoRx (NASDAQ: RNXT) reported publication of a PK/PD sub-study from the ongoing Phase III TIGeR-PaC trial (NCT03257033) evaluating intra-arterial gemcitabine (IAG) delivered via its TAMP platform/RenovoCath versus intravenous gemcitabine in locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC).
In 16 patients across six sites (11 IAG, 5 IVG), IAG showed significantly lower systemic gemcitabine exposure than IV gemcitabine despite a 50% higher infusion concentration rate. The study estimated a targeted extraction ratio of 0.511, indicating about 51% of intra-arterially delivered gemcitabine was extracted locally before entering systemic circulation. A statistically significant correlation was reported between higher systemic dFdU levels and greater CA 19-9 reductions after IAG treatment (Pearson’s r = -0.75; P = 0.034; 8 evaluable patients). No significant PK differences were seen by arterial delivery site (superior mesenteric vs celiac artery).
The data were published in Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology (DOI: 10.1007/s00280-026-04939-0). RenovoRx also said TIGeR-PaC enrollment has closed, with trial completion expected in 1H 2027 and initial topline data expected in 2H 2027.
