Aug. 24, 2026: Edgewise Therapeutics (NASDAQ: EWTX) announced that an abstract from the Phase 2 CIRRUS-HCM trial of EDG-7500 was selected for a late-breaking science presentation at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026.
The presentation, titled “CIRRUS-HCM: 12-Week Evaluation of the Safety and Efficacy of the Novel Cardiac Sarcomere Modulator EDG-7500 in Nonobstructive and Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy,” will be given on August 31, 2026, from 11:30–11:45 a.m. CEST in Munich. The company said the abstract highlights positive top-line data from the 12-week Phase 2 trial in both obstructive and nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
EDG-7500 is described as an oral, selective cardiac sarcomere modulator intended to slow early contraction and improve cardiac relaxation while preserving systolic function in symptomatic HCM.
CIRRUS-HCM is a multi-part, open-label study at more than 20 U.S. sites. Part A tested a single oral dose in obstructive HCM; Parts B and C evaluated fixed doses over 28 days in obstructive and nonobstructive HCM, respectively; Part D is a 12-week dose-response and dose-optimization study in both populations followed by an open-label extension.
