Aug. 17, 2026: Dogwood Therapeutics (NASDAQ: DWTX) announced a virtual KOL event for Sept. 1, 2026 focused on chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain (CINP) and its NaV1.7-targeting candidate Halneuron. The company said the event will review Halneuron’s mechanism, prior preclinical/clinical work, positive interim results from the ongoing Phase 2b HAL-CINP trial, and plans to advance a synthetic tetrodotoxin formulation to support Phase 3 development.

HAL-CINP (NCT06848348) is a randomized Phase 2b study of Halneuron versus placebo in about 210-240 patients with moderate to severe neuropathic pain caused by prior platinum- and/or taxane-based chemotherapy. Patients receive 8 subcutaneous doses over 14 days and are followed for 28 days. The primary endpoint is change from baseline to week 4 in weekly average daily 24-hour recall pain intensity; secondary measures include sleep, fatigue, neuropathy symptoms, and overall health. The trial is being run at about 25 U.S. sites.

Dogwood also said Halneuron has FDA Fast Track designation for CINP and has been tested in more than 800 patients to date. Separately, SP16 IV is described as a preclinical/early clinical neuropathy program, with a forthcoming Phase 1b chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy trial funded by the National Cancer Institute.
