August 13, 2026: Dogwood Therapeutics (NASDAQ: DWTX) said its Halneuron Phase 2b trial in chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain (CINP) has enrolled 217 patients, with top-line results expected in fall 2026; the company said cash of $9.6 million funds operations through the Phase 2b readout in Q4 2026. Dogwood also started a 12-week open-label Phase 2b long-term extension study for patients completing the ongoing 4-week CINP study to assess pain reduction over three months.
For SP16 IV, Dogwood said the FDA granted IND clearance, and a Phase 1b study in chemotherapy-induced pain and peripheral neuropathy (CIPPN) is expected to begin enrollment in the second half of 2026 at the University of Virginia, funded by the National Cancer Institute.
The company also announced a worldwide development and commercialization partnership for legacy antiviral assets with potential value of up to $100 million to Dogwood and its CVR holders, but no partner name or further terms were provided in the text.
Dogwood additionally announced the appointment of Iain Dukes, D.Phil., Venture Partner at OrbiMed, as chair of its Scientific Advisory Board.
