August 5, 2026: BriaCell Therapeutics Corp. (NASDAQ: BCTX, BCTXL; TSX: BCT) said the FDA cleared its IND for Bria-PROS+, issuing a Study May Proceed letter and enabling initiation of a Phase 1/2a clinical study in prostate cancer.

Bria-PROS+ is described as a next-generation personalized, off-the-shelf, cell-based immunotherapy designed to activate multiple parts of the immune system. The company said prior preclinical data presented at the AACR Annual Meeting showed activation of adaptive and innate immune responses, including naïve T-cells, dendritic cells, and natural killer cells. In August 2025, the program received a $2 million non-dilutive grant from the U.S. National Cancer Institute to support manufacturing and planned clinical evaluation.

The release also referenced other programs: Bria-IMT is in a Phase 3 pivotal trial for metastatic breast cancer; Bria-OTS is in a breast cancer clinical program, where the first patient dosed reportedly had sustained complete resolution of a lung metastasis; and Bria-BRES+ recently received FDA clearance for clinical evaluation in breast cancer.
