Emavusertib (CA-4948) and Zanubrutinib - (TakeAim CLL)

July 30, 2026: Curis, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRIS) announced it has reached an enrollment milestone in its open-label Phase 2 TakeAim CLL study (CA-4948-203; NCT07271667) evaluating emavusertib (CA-4948; oral IRAK4/FLT3 inhibitor) in combination with the BTK inhibitor zanubrutinib in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The company reported it has dosed the first five patients, after previously stating 11 sites were open and 10 patients had been consented.

Curis reaffirmed its expectation to report initial CLL data in 5–10 patients in December 2026. Management stated that, although patient numbers are small and early, the emavusertib + zanubrutinib combination “appears to be well tolerated” and “may” be showing early evidence of deepening responses.

Study eligibility includes CLL patients on zanubrutinib for at least 12 months who are in partial response (PR) or PR with lymphocytosis (PR-L) and remain MRD-positive as assessed by the clonoSEQ assay.
