[212Pb]VMT-α-NET

July 28, 2026: Perspective Therapeutics, Inc. (NYSE: CATX) announced the European Commission granted orphan medicinal product designation for [²¹²Pb]VMT-α-NET for treatment of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs), following a positive opinion from the EMA’s Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products (COMP). The designation may provide development and commercial incentives (e.g., protocol assistance, fee reductions, and up to 10 years of market exclusivity if approved).

[²¹²Pb]VMT-α-NET is an alpha-radiopharmaceutical designed to target SSTR2 and deliver lead-212 to SSTR2-expressing tumor sites. It is being evaluated in an ongoing multi-center, open-label Phase 1/2a dose-escalation/dose-expansion study (NCT05636618) in patients with unresectable or metastatic SSTR2-positive tumors who have not received prior radiopharmaceutical therapies. Interim clinical data (cut-off April 17, 2026) were presented at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting (May 2026), including efficacy results for half of Cohort 2 and both patients in Cohort 1; additional efficacy data for the remainder of Cohort 2 and Cohorts 3–4 are pending, with further conference submissions planned in 2026–2027.
