CMP-002 (CMP-SYNGAP-01)

July 27, 2026: CAMP4 Therapeutics Corporation (NASDAQ: CAMP4) said it received clearance from Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and a local Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) to initiate a Phase 1/2 first-in-human clinical trial of CMP-002, an investigational intrathecal ASO designed to upregulate SYNGAP1 gene expression for SYNGAP1-related disorder (a rare CNS haploinsufficiency disorder with no approved disease-modifying therapies). The clearance allows CAMP4 to open an Australian trial site, expected to be among the initial enrollment sites; the company said it is pursuing additional regulatory filings to expand the trial internationally.

The TGA/HREC clearance also satisfies a regulatory milestone under the company’s September 9, 2025 Securities Purchase Agreement, making CAMP4 eligible to raise up to an additional $50 million in gross proceeds via a second private placement closing (up to 32,721,172 shares or pre-funded warrants). The second closing is expected within five business days, subject to customary conditions, with participation from named investors and Leerink Partners as lead placement agent.
