July 23, 2026: Serina Therapeutics, Inc. (NYSE: SER) reported it has completed enrollment and dosing of Cohort 1 (8 patients) in its ongoing Phase 1b registrational trial (SER-252-1b) of SER-252 (POZ-apomorphine) for advanced Parkinson’s disease (adults with motor fluctuations). The company said this Cohort 1 milestone was achieved ahead of its prior guidance to complete Cohort 1 enrollment and dosing by the end of Q3 2026.

An independent Safety Monitoring Committee is expected to conduct a blinded review of available Cohort 1 safety and tolerability data per protocol; Serina plans to determine the next dose-escalation step after this review and provide an additional update.

Trial design: randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 1b with single-ascending-dose component (five cohorts of 8; n=40) and multiple-ascending-dose component (up to three cohorts of 16; n=48), evaluating subcutaneous SER-252 vs placebo for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics, with exploratory measures including MDS-UPDRS motor scores and structured motor-state assessments. The study is being conducted in the U.S. and Australia, with plans to add sites in South Korea and Taiwan.
