Laromestrocel (lomecel-B) - (CLEAR MIND)

July 13, 2026: Longeveron Inc. (NASDAQ: LGVN) announced a poster at the 2026 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC; July 12–15, 2026, London/online) presenting additional post-hoc exploratory analyses from the Phase 2a CLEAR-MIND trial of laromestrocel (Lomecel-B) in mild Alzheimer’s disease.

The poster (“Laromestrocel Stabilizes Brain Inflammation…Using Free Water MRI,” presented July 13) reports that free water MRI—used as an index of neuroinflammation—rose over 39 weeks in placebo patients (N=10) in white matter regions (fornix, sagittal stratum, uncinate fasciculus), while laromestrocel groups showed numerical reductions vs placebo (e.g., fornix week 26 25Mx4 N=11 p=0.058; sagittal stratum week 39 pooled 25Mx4+100Mx4 N=21 p=0.063; left uncinate fasciculus week 39 100Mx4 N=10 p=0.064). The free-water trends correlated with increased brain volume and improved cognitive/quality-of-life scores; the analysis highlights prominent effects in hippocampus and temporal lobe.

Plasma NuLISA biomarker findings included reduced neurogranin at week 39 (25Mx4 N=12 p=0.023) and increased IL-13 (25Mx1 N=12 p=0.043) vs placebo (N=11).

The company noted FDA RMAT and Fast Track designations for laromestrocel in mild AD and stated it has aligned on a Phase 3 study design.
