June 30, 2026: Genelux Corporation (NASDAQ: GNLX) announced publication in Gynecologic Oncology Reports of translational and clinical findings from its Phase 1b/2 VIRO-15 trial of intraperitoneal Olvi-Vec–primed immunochemotherapy in heavily pretreated patients with platinum-resistant/refractory ovarian cancer (PRROC). The analyses report Olvi-Vec–mediated tumor microenvironment modulation, including increased CD8+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and immune activation; evidence of direct viral infection and killing of tumor cells in patient-derived samples; and RNA gene-expression changes linked to immune activation, tumor cell killing, and increased sensitivity to subsequent platinum-based chemotherapy. The publication states these translational findings mechanistically support previously reported VIRO-15 clinical outcomes, including restoration of platinum sensitivity and improved progression-free survival.
The company said the results provide additional biological rationale for its ongoing registrational Phase 3 OnPrime/GOG-3076 study evaluating Olvi-Vec-primed immunochemotherapy in PRROC (Olvi-Vec administered intraperitoneally). Genelux also noted ongoing studies of systemic Olvi-Vec in non-small cell lung cancer (Phase 2 VIRO-25, dose selection) and recurrent small cell lung cancer (China-based Phase 1b/2 Olvi-Vec-SCLC-202).
