Diranersen (IONIS-MAPTRx/BIIB080) - (CELIA)

June 29, 2026: Biogen Inc. (NASDAQ: BIIB) announced planned presentations at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) 2026 (July 12–15, 2026; London) covering its Alzheimer’s portfolio, including Phase 2 data for diranersen (BIIB080) and multiple updates for LEQEMBI (lecanemab).

Diranersen (BIIB080; tau-targeting ASO): Biogen will present initial clinical, biomarker, and safety results from the 18-month Phase 2 CELIA study in early Alzheimer’s disease (416 participants) in a Developing Topics session on Tuesday, July 14 (2:00–3:30 PM BST). The CELIA primary endpoint is dose response for change from baseline in CDR-SB at Week 76; dosing is intrathecal across three regimens. Biogen stated the program is advancing toward Phase 3 development. The FDA granted Fast Track designation in 2025.

LEQEMBI (lecanemab): AAIC sessions will include emerging evidence and practical considerations for subcutaneous administration (including at-home use) on Sunday, July 12 (4:15–5:45 PM BST), plus three-year multicenter real-world retrospective LEADER data (including maintenance dosing and satisfaction measures) on Tuesday, July 14 (4:15–5:45 PM BST). Biogen also noted a supplemental BLA for LEQEMBI IQLIK (once-weekly subcutaneous starting dose) is under FDA Priority Review with a PDUFA action date of August 24, 2026.
