NHBE GalNAc siRNA (WVE-007) - (INLIGHT)

June 24, 2026: Wave Life Sciences Ltd. (NASDAQ: WVE) announced initiation of the Phase 2a multidose portion of the placebo-controlled (3:1) INLIGHT™ trial of WVE-007 (investigational GalNAc-siRNA) as monotherapy in people with obesity (BMI 35–50 kg/m²) and comorbidities, including cohorts with and without type 2 diabetes. The Phase 2a will enroll participants in the U.S. and Europe and follow them for 12 months with assessments including body weight, waist circumference, body composition (MRI/DEXA), liver fat (MRI-PDFF), HbA1c, and lipids, to inform development in obesity and potential expansion into MASH, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

The company also provided a Phase 1 single-dose update in otherwise healthy overweight/obese individuals (average BMI 32 kg/m²): at 6 months after a single 240 mg dose, WVE-007 showed reductions in visceral fat (-14%, p<0.05), total fat (-5%), and waist circumference (-3%), and was generally safe and well tolerated up to 600 mg; data support once- or twice-yearly dosing.

Wave said it remains on track to initiate additional Phase 2 trials in 2H 2026 evaluating WVE-007 as an incretin add-on and as post-incretin maintenance.
